COVID-19 Status
I hope you're doing well and being safe during this time. Some of the best information and resources are available at the State's Coronavirus website at coronavirus.utah.gov. This includes the following resources:
Free School Supplies for Stansbury Elementary Students!
Many students within District 33 attend Stansbury Elementary. The week before school began I was able to help deliver hundreds of backpacks, notebooks and other school supplies in preparation for the first day of school. Glad I was able to help! These are soooooo needed.
And thanks to Intercap Lending for sponsoring the event and purchasing the back-to-school supplies.

Utah AFL-CIO Endorses Rep. Craig Hall!
The Utah AFL-CIO endorses Rep. Craig Hall!
After a review of the candidates in this race, the Utah AFL-CIO believes that Rep. Craig Hall is the best candidate to represent the wonderful working families of District 33.
Thank you for your support!

'Ava Ceremony
Last week I had the great honor to participate in an ‘ava ceremony at the home of some amazing District 33 residents!
The ‘ava ceremony is an ancient Samoan ritual that is performed at the beginning of all important services and gatherings. Typically led by the high chief of the hosting village, the ceremony begins with words of welcome as the participants sit cross-legged on the floor in a circle or semicircle. The proceedings include the preparation and consumption of an ‘ava drink.
Rep. Hall helps with Granite School District Eagle Scout Project
Great Eagle Scout project. Food drive benefiting our Granite School District schools! Glad I was able to help in a small way. Also, see me sporting the Granger High gear. 😂

Legislative Committee Meetings
Earlier this month I chaired the Utah Legislature Retirement & Independent Entities Interim Cmte. I chaired the mtg in person at the Capitol. Most of the committee was remote. Thanks so much to our staff for helping put this together! Full agenda. Great meeting.

Utah Cultural Alliance Endorses Rep. Craig Hall!
Thanks to the Utah Cultural Alliance for their endorsement! This group does so much for the arts and humanities in Utah. I greatly appreciate their support!

Utah's Unemployement Rate Lowest in the Nation
The latest unemployment numbers came out last week. Our state is on a positive trajectory. We certainly have parts of our economy that we can improve. But I am glad to see that we are bouncing back from the March lows. If you have been laid off, unemployment benefits are available. Also, the State has great resources to help find a new or better job.
